THE EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION OF ARTISTS THROUGH COLORS AND THE PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECT OF COLORS IN ARTWORKS

Abstract

This article explores the role of colors in art, their connection with human psychology, emotions, and cultural values. It scientifically analyzes the essence of color theory (chromatics) and its physiological, psychological, aesthetic, and cultural aspects. The paper also discusses how artists establish emotional communication with the viewer through colors, the historical and cultural interpretations of colors, color harmony, the interaction of colors with light, as well as their role in art therapy and modern art. Furthermore, it examines the significance of color theory in art, design, and culture from a scientific-theoretical perspective.
